S5 Geography Field trip (2015-2016)

5 geography students got an opportunity to join a “Light pollution field trip” held by the University of Hong Kong on 28 November 2015. The lecture at the MengWah Complex of HKU was about the light pollution in Hong Kong, and how the fireflies and the wildlife habitats were affected by light pollution. After the briefing session, they took a coach to the Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve for firefly viewing. Lastly, they went for stargrazing at the Astropark in Sai Kung. They were all excited by those fireflies and the starry night.
