Congratulations to 5E Tang Pok Lam who was the Champion of the “Problem-Solving Competition” (即日解難比賽) in the senior secondary school division in CAP 2017 organised by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Hong Kong Computer Education Association on 25 November 2017. CAP aims at encouraging students to solve problems by using programming techniques, thus further develop their computer knowledge, logical thinking skills and enhance team spirit. App Inventor for Android is an open source web application originally provided by Google, and now maintained by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). It was the selected application in the past four CAP competitions. The champion of the event is the top award of all computer App programming contests in the secondary school division in 2017. Tang’s technical performance was highly appreciated by professors, Department of Computing. Dr. David Chung, JP, Under Secretary for the Innovation and Technology Bureau (ITB) in the photo was the officiating guest of the Award Ceremony.
