The Hong Kong Award for Young People

 

Introduction

 

           What is AYP? AYP is the short form of  “The Hong Kong Award for Young People”.  And the former name of AYP is DEA. The AYP Club of my school was established in September 1982.  The aim of AYP is to help youngsters make better use of their leisure time.  There are three levels of Award-Bronze, Silver and Gold – and, for each, activities are completed in four Sections – Service, Expeditions, Skills and Physical Recreation.  At Gold level there is an additional requirement of a Residential Project.

 

Clubs Activities

            

          Include canoeing, first aid course, flag selling service, orienteering competition, expedition course, etc.
