Reflection: education reforms and the way ahead

It has been some years ever since the EMB launched the education reforms. An obvious aim of the reforms the cultivation of students' generic skills and all-round knowledge. Rote learning was history. In such a rapidly changing world, it takes an analytical and critical mind to succeed and flourish. All BSTC students should therefore grasp every opportunity to broaden their learning experiences so that they will be well equipped to take up challenges and commitments in future. With the untiring efforts of our dedicated and committed teachers, BSTC will be able to meet the requirements of the new education reforms, and continue to create a caring community for learning.

教改反思及感想

教統局近年提出連串教育及課程改革，主要是希造培養學生的共通能力，而不是傳統只懂背誦及死記資料。我同意在廿一世紀這個瞬息萬變的社會，批判及分析能力的需求遠比背誦能力重要。我鼓勵善德同學應把握機遇拓寬視野，多嘗試不同學習經歷，以便應付未來的挑戰及承擔。正因善德的教師充滿熱誠，亦會繼續為學生準備新課改及教改的挑戰，我深信善德絕對有能力應付未來教改及課改的要求，繼續營造一個關愛的學習環境。
