S.1 Students visited Hong Kong Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defence, where a docent guided them through the Thematic Exhibition “ Standing Together for Peacebuilding: Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the War of Resistance in Guangdong and Hong Kong” as well as the Historical Trail in Lyemun Fort. Through the visit, students came to understand that today’s peace was hard-won and came at the cost of the arduous joint resistance against foreign aggressors by the people of Guangdong and Hong Kong. The activity aimed to cultivate students’ sense of national identity and enhance their sense of belonging to the country.
