Our school recently hosted a four-day Primary School Taster Lessons event, welcoming a total of 165 primary students from four schools: HHCKLA Buddhist Wisdom Primary School, Po Leung Kuk Castar Primary School, Buddhist Lim Kim Tian Memorial Primary School, and S.K.H. Tsing Yi Chu Yan Primary School.
The students participated in a wide variety of hands-on sessions, including English, mathematics, science, STEAM, visual arts, and Buddhist studies. These interactive classes allowed them to experience the joy of secondary school learning firsthand, creating a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere throughout the event.
A highlight of the program was the Secondary School Life Sharing session. We invited our current students—who are alumni of the participating primary schools—to share their personal journeys and insights. This "big brother and big sister" approach made the younger students feel right at home and provided them with a deeper understanding of what to expect in secondary school.
The event was a resounding success, fostering meaningful exchange and strengthening the connection between primary and secondary education.
