Our 2024-2025 debating team consists of a junior and a senior team with a total of 20 members, two internal team coaches (Ms. Wai and Ms. Chong) and an external debating coach (Mr. Jason O Chan). We have joined the Hong Kong Secondary Schools Debating Competition for eleven consecutive years and the Hong Kong Debating League for the last two years now.
Through debating we aim to give students the necessary experience to be able to argue confidently the pros and cons of current local and international issues as well as give better responses to related DSE examination questions. Moreover, it helps develop students' research skills, critical thinking, argumentative writing, team work and broadens their exposure to practical uses of English.
