With a view to letting students know more about recent Food Technology and Innovation, the Home Economics Department arranged a visit to the Department of Food and Health Sciences and Food Innovation Centre at Tsing Yi THEi for S.2D students on 12th July, 2023.
A food sensory test and a plant-based meat burger(植物肉漢堡) making workshop were arranged. Students had to season and pan fry their own burger, and of course taste it after finished! They learned much about the process of making plant-based meat and the nutritional value behind it. Students enjoyed the visit very much.
